BoroughTech ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Learn with Kit mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Children's Privacy

Learn with Kit is designed for children ages 0–5 and is operated under the strict requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable data protection laws.

• We do not collect any personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
• We do not ask children to provide their name, email address, phone number, or any other personal details.
• We do not display behaviorally targeted advertising to any user.
• We do not include social features, chat, or content sharing within the app.

2. COPPA Compliance

Learn with Kit is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed to function without collecting personally identifiable information from the child user.

Parent or guardian accounts, if introduced in future versions, will require verifiable parental consent before any personal information is collected. We will update this policy accordingly.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at support@boroughtech.com and we will delete it promptly.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate and improve the Service:

• Usage data: Aggregate, anonymised data about how features are used (e.g., which topics are most popular) to improve the learning experience. This data cannot identify individual users.
• Device information: General device type and operating system version for compatibility and crash reporting. No device identifiers are stored.
• Support communications: If you contact us by email, we retain the correspondence to respond to your request.

We do not collect location data, contacts, camera access, or microphone data beyond in-app interactive exercises (audio is processed on-device only and never transmitted).

4. How We Use Information

We use the limited data we collect solely to:

• Operate and maintain the Service
• Identify and fix bugs or crashes
• Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve the learning content
• Respond to parent or guardian support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

The Learn with Kit app and website use the following limited third-party services:

• Apple App Store: App distribution and in-app purchase processing. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts: Font delivery for the website only. No cookies set; no tracking.

We do not integrate third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms that track individuals, or social media plugins into the child-facing app experience.

6. Data Retention

Anonymised usage data is retained for up to 12 months for the purposes of product improvement and then deleted. Support email correspondence is retained for up to 24 months. No child-identifiable data is retained beyond the active session.

7. Parents' Rights

As a parent or guardian you have the right to:

• Review any personal information we hold about your child (if any)
• Request deletion of any personal information we hold about your child
• Refuse further collection or use of your child's information
• Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. The app does not transmit personal data over the internet. All HTTPS connections use TLS 1.2 or higher.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
